Team India’s star all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer posted a video on Instagram in which senior speedster Jasprit Bumrah can be seen bowling to him at the nets in Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy (NCA). The 29-year-old, who hasn’t played international cricket since September last year due to a back injury, was comfortable in his action in the video.
The star Indian pacer missed last year’s Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. He was expected to make his comeback with three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, but after being named in the squad, he was ruled out.

A four-match Test series for the coveted Border-Gavaskar Trophy is scheduled to be played between India and Australia in February-March, which is also part of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2022-23. In a great news for Indian fanbase, Bumrah’s latest bowling video has raised hopes that he might soon return to action for the national team in the last two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Test series, which starts on February 9 in Nagpur.

Another star Indian player who is all set for a much-awaited return in all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. He has been undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy after a knee surgery and will play first-class cricket to prove his fitness for India-Australia Tests. The senior player will play for Saurashtra in the final round of the Ranji Trophy against Tamil Nadu in Chennai, set to commence on January 24. 
Jadeja has been named in Indian team for first two Tests but his availability is subject to fitness.
