Gloucestershire Cricket has extended its partnership with Bristol-based Astra Security, which will see the security system supplier continue as the club’s shirt sleeve sponsor for its Talent Pathway Programme.
Under terms of the new extension, the playing shirts of Gloucestershire’s county age group teams will feature the company’s logo on the sleeve for a second year in 2023.
Astra Security will also continue as the activation zone partner for the Club’s Vitality Blast (T20) and One Day Cup campaigns. The activation zone is an area that provides activities and games for children of all ages before and during the course of matches.
Head of Partnerships at Gloucestershire Cricket, Joe Kaniecki, said, “We’ve loved partnering with Astra Security since 2020 and are delighted that this will continue into 2023.
“The Talent Pathway Programme continues to produce players for our first team thanks to the support from Astra, and the activation zone adds a huge amount to the matchday experience for all our supporters.”
The Lawn & Tennis Association (LTA) has appointed London-based creative agency BMB as its lead creative partnerfor LTA Youth.
The agency will support in their mission to get more kids playing tennis by making it ‘relevant, accessible, welcoming and enjoyable.’
BMB’s appointment follows a competitive pitch handled directly by the LTA. Now, BMB will work with the national governing body of tennis in Great Britain to launch a fully integrated campaign later this year.

London-based sports data and technology business IMG ARENA has secured the global betting streaming rights for Norwegian football’s top two divisions, Eliteserien and OBOS-Ligaen.
The multi-year deal with Norwegian football, which excludes Norwegian rights, includes 485 matches across the two leagues, which are played between April and November, builds on IMG ARENA’s global football portfolio.
Mark Wrigley, Senior Director of Rights at IMG ARENAsaid, “This deal with Norwegian football bolsters IMG ARENA’s football offering with another first-class property that will help sports betting operators increase their engagement with players throughout the year, while also enabling new touch points during the week.”
The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) has announced the continued expansion of its PTO Tour, with the inaugural staging of the PTO Asian Open in Singapore on 19th to 20th August 2023.
In a multi-year partnership between the PTO, The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Sport Singapore (SportSG), the PTO Asian Open will host the world’s top male and female professional triathletes around a specially designed new course in the Marina Bay Financial District.
The first-ever PTO Asian Open will feature a women’s and men’s 100km race (2km swim; 80km bike; 18km run) that will be broadcast live around the world to over 170 territories courtesy of the PTO Tour’s partnerships with Warner Bros. Discovery and a series of other regional and national broadcasters.
Sam Renouf, CEO of the PTO, said, “When we were planning the first PTO Asian Open, the opportunity to stage the event in Singapore and seeing the world’s best triathletes race around the iconic Marina Bay was something that made sense on many levels.
“It is important that the PTO Tour goes to different continents, different kinds of courses and different climates – that will enable us to see who really the greatest endurance athlete on the planet is. Singapore will be a great destination as well as a great race venue.”
Premier League football club Southampton FC has announced the appointment of Sport Industry NextGen alumni Charlie Boss as its new Chief Commercial Officer.
Charlie joins from The Jockey Club where he led the commercial team incorporating strategy, partnerships, conferences and events and business development. He joined The Jockey Club in 2021 from Disney where he was Commercial Director for Sports across Europe and Africa. He also led ESPN’s UK office.
His new role at Southampton will see him work with the club’s CEO Martin Semmens to build on the club’s recent commercial growth.
