A fed up pilot has been forced to leave the cockpit to boot an unruly passenger off a Virgin Australia flight in wild footage shared online.
The incident unfolded in front of shocked passengers while the plane was grounded at Townsville Airport on Wednesday evening.
In a video uploaded to TikTok, a man dressed in a bucket hat and yellow crocs can be seen arguing with staff before the pilot informs him “you’re off mate”.
But a scuffle breaks out when the passenger refuses to cooperate and grabs the pilot by the shirt.

One too many mateš

“You’re a f***ing idiot,” the man says in an expletive-ridden tirade.
“I didn’t do nothing c***.”
After a short struggle the man is eventually shoved off the plane with the help of another passenger and an air hostess.
The man continues to yell profanities from outside the plane until the pilot instructs staff to “get the cops”.
“I’m leaving,” the man is heard saying.
According to TikTok user Ben Mckay, who was also on board the flight, the passenger had “one too many” before their plane was due to take-off for Sydney.
Virgin Australia said the man was removed from the flight for disruptive behaviour and travel restrictions have been imposed.
“The safety of guests and crew is our number one priority and we have zero tolerance for any type of unruly behaviour on Virgin Australia flights,” the airline said.
“Incidents are referred to the Australian Federal Police or State Police where appropriate.”
