Tata Power, one of India’s leading integrated power companies, has reported a standalone CSR spend of Rs 2.09 crore for FY22 and consolidated basis Rs. 32.77 crore, meeting its 2% CSR obligation as per Indian Companies Act. The company’s CSR vision aims at strengthening ecosystems for inclusive education, digital & financial literacy, skilling and livelihoods, targeting over 13.7 lakh beneficiaries. Tata Power’s flagship programs include initiatives focused on empowering women, farmers, vocational training, conservation, support for autism and biodiversity restoration with an approach based on four Es Framework i.e., Education, Employability, Employment, and Entrepreneurship.

On a consolidated basis, the company’s group entities spent Rs. 32.77 crore on CSR activities during FY22, with a balance of unspent CSR obligation transferred to a special bank account.
Tata Power aims to strengthen ecosystems for inclusive education, digital and financial literacy, skilling and livelihoods, in order to support the future readiness and environmental conservation awareness of target communities.
Key flagship programs include initiatives focused on empowering women and farmers collectives, vocational training, access to state social security schemes, conservation, volunteering, support for autism, and regional biodiversity restoration.
The company’s approach to CSR is built around the four Es framework: Education, Employability, Employment, and Entrepreneurship.
Anokha Dhaaga and Abha for empowering women and farmers collectives.
Roshini integrated vocational training centers.
Adhikaar, enabling access to state social security schemes.
Club Enerji, developing conservation champions and STEM education.
Arpan as a volunteering platform.
PayAutention, a support network for autism spectrum children and families.
Mahseer conservation activities and Tree Mittra for furthering region-appropriate native species plantations and biodiversity restoration.
Target Communities:
Tata Power has a special commitment towards Tata Social Inclusivity & Affirmative Action, enabling targeted outreach to families from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, other backward classes, migrant families, sanitation workers, differently-abled and other disadvantaged communities.
