Tamworth Country Music Festival is set to inject over $60 million into the city’s economy over the next ten days which is important for getting the live music industry back on its feet, according to Festival Director Barry Harley.
Mr Harley told Sky News Australia he urges viewers to come support the industry after its hit from the pandemic, stating Tamworth’s festival is the “epitome” of live music.
“If you’ve got an opportunity to engage with an A-lister ticketed show, or just turn up and be a fan of some of the free shows, or throw a few dollars to a busker – all of that support to the industry will guarantee the future of the industry and Tamworth going forward.”
