U.S. News & World Report released its Best Colleges rankings today and Seattle University continues to be strong in undergraduate rankings for business, nursing, computer science and engineering. Overall, SU ranks as the 3rd best national university in Washington state.
“Seattle University is delivering excellent education, across disciplines, for all our students. U.S. News & World Report recognizes that SU is a leader in providing opportunities for students to excel in rapidly growing, high-demand majors such as business, nursing, computer science and engineering,” said SU President Eduardo Peñalver. “These programs, and many others, provide students with excellent faculty, internships and hands-on learning opportunities and exposure to diverse voices and opportunities.”
Among the findings:
US News and World Report classifies schools in several overall rankings – national universities (392 schools), national liberal arts colleges (223 schools), national public universities (209 schools), public liberal arts colleges (24 schools), and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (78 schools). The 2022 ranking variables were impacted by the following categories: outcomes, faculty resources, reputational ratings, financial resources, student excellence, and alumni giving.
