HOLLYWOOD HILLS WEST, CA — About a quarter acre of a hillside crumbled in Hollywood Hills West Monday evening amid torrential downpours, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The landslide occurred in the 2150 block of North Beech Knoll Road just before 9:30 p.m. Monday.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or structure damage from the incident. Though there are four homes in the path of the landslide, none are currently threatened, according to Margaret Stewart, spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Firefighters are investigating the situation and Urban Search and Rescue technical experts are enroute,” added Stewart.
