Police search for shooter in Hollywood – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports | Fort Lauderdale

HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) – Police are searching for a shooter who injured a man the day after Christmas.
People in the quiet Hollywood neighborhood were woken up by several gunshots, Monday morning.
Those who live close by said the shooting happened because of a problematic AirBnB.
Doorbell video captured the sound of a barrage of bullets. Just seconds before the shooting, a car was seen driving by.
“Boom, too many,” said Dolly Gomez, a witness.
“It was like really fast, very loud, very loud,” said Dolly Aries, who lives nearby. “It was very surprising because I was already sleeping, we heard all of it.”
Hollywood Police and Fire Rescue arrived outside a home where the shooting occurred along 14th Avenue and Dewey Street.
They found a man with a gunshot wound, and he was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
“The ambulance and police came like 10 minutes after everything,” said Arias. “It was pretty quick.”
In the light of day, evidence markers could be seen in front of the home and police crime tape.
People who live nearby said they are a little on edge as police continue to investigate.
At this time, Police have not released any information in regards to a suspect.
If you have any information on this shooting, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
