Peter's ready to represent Australia in cricket – South Gippsland Sentinel-Times

LOCAL cricket icon Peter Miller has been selected in the Australian Over 60s team for the tour of the West Indies that commences at the end of January 2023.
The International ODI series (Caribbean Cup) starts on January 30, for five matches with finals being played on February 9-10.
Teams competing include: West Indies, England, USA, Invitation XI & Rest of World XI. Australia’s first game will be against traditional rivals England.
Peter’s selection followed his successful performances at the Australian National Championships held in Geelong over November / December 2022 where he opened the batting for the Victorian First XI.  Teams from every Australian State plus New Zealand were represented.
He played four matches scoring a total of 100 runs with a high score of 32 runs Ave. 25.00 all as an opening batsman.
Victoria 6/199cc won the Grand Final against South Australia 9/161cc. Peter scored 26 runs in an opening stand of 42 runs which helped set up the win.
Peter currently plays locally with Kilcunda-Bass CC in the LDCA competition and for the South Gippsland Veterans Over 60s on Sundays , previously playing with Poowong-Loch CC and OMK CC.
He leaves for the West Indies on Tuesday, January 24, for a series of practice matches prior to the commencement of the tournament.
