The 2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS Sprint season will take place at a variety of Supercars and SpeedSeries events.
The six-round sprint segment of the category will be evenly split across Supercars and SpeedSeries events, taking some of the best GT cars around the world to some of the best tracks around Australia.
It all kicks into gear at the iconic Mount Panorama, as the lead support act to the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour during the Easter long weekend.
Later in the same month the series then heads west to Perth’s Wanneroo Raceway for round 2, which will run alongside the Supercars Perth SuperSprint.
The busy start to the season rolls on a fortnight later at the picturesque Phillip Island with GT’s racing on the fast, flowing circuit as part of the SpeedSeries.
After a break, the Sprint season returns at the end of July at Sydney Motorsport Park where the GT World Challenge Australia shares the night-racing spectacle with Supercars.

Following a fortnight between events the series heads up to the sunshine state to race at Queensland Raceway. The August 11-13 event will be the third and final SpeedSeries stop on the year.
Just like last year, the season will conclude on a high note at the Adelaide 500 Supercars street race. In 2023 the Supercars season finale will be held a week earlier at the end of November and is expected to provide another action-packed conclusion.
The driver to stop this year will be Yasser Shahin following back to back titles after holding off Liam Talbot in Adelaide.
With fan favourite brands such as Mercedes AMG, Audi, Porsche, Bentley and more on show at some famous circuits, Australian Racing Group head of category operations Ben McMellan is excited by the sprint racing on offer in 2023.
“This is a really strong calendar for the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS,” said McMellan.
“For both competitors and fans, it offers a great mix of Supercars and SpeedSeries rounds, including high-profile events and circuits perfectly suited to GT racing.
“We saw a fascinating end to the 2022 season, and with interest high in the class, we are expecting more challengers to come and try and grab the silverware in all of the different classes.”
The SpeedSeries rounds will be broadcast on Stan Sport, while the Supercars telecasts are found on Fox Sports and Kayo.
The endurance season schedule and sprint race formats will be confirmed in due course.
