A man was found dead in the Los Angeles Film School’s parking garage in Hollywood.
Police responded at about 2 a.m. Thursday, and the body of a man was found in the 6300 block of Sunset Boulevard next to a gray 2020 Nissan Kicks.
The crossover had significant front-end damage and had deployed its airbags. Police initially believed the victim may have been killed by a hit-and-run driver, but later said that was not the case.
After further review, investigators determined the incident was a traffic accident. Authorities did not elaborate on what might have happened, but said no foul play was involved.
Security at the scene told KTLA it might have been a medical emergency.
The driver apparently hit another vehicle on the second floor before making his way to the third floor where the crossover eventually stopped. The driver then got out of the vehicle and collapsed. Someone walking by saw the man, tried to help and eventually alerted authorities.
Responding firefighters tried to revive the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified.
