Police divers and other emergency services continue to search for a missing teenage boy after a boating accident on a Victorian lake near the NSW border.
One of two teens was rescued from the water after the pair were thrown from a tinny on Lake Mulwala in Yarrawonga at 9am on Sunday.
It happened up to 200m off the shore.
Senior Sergeant Nathan Ractliffe from Victoria Police said a "good Samaritan" went in to help get one teen back to shore after seeing them treading water.
But the other couldn't be found when he went back, said.
"He was tragically unable to rescue the second male," Ractliffe said.
He said they are "working feverishly to locate this male".
Sonar is being used in the search but Ractliffe said weather conditions were not favourable.
The boy who was rescued is helping police.
