Sydney film producer Grace Rached, 23, was this morning named as a victim of the tragedy, which left more than 150 people dead.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has this afternoon released a statement from Rached's family.
"We are missing our gorgeous angel Grace who lit up a room with her infectious smile," the statement read."Grace always made others feel important and her kindness left an impression on everyone she ever met.
"Grace always cared about others and she was loved by all.
"Grace was a talented film producer who was passionate about making a difference.
"She cared deeply about her two sisters and was a wonderful role model.
"Grace showed us all what it meant to be an incredible human being."
Victims of a huge mudslide set off by a storm in a coastal Philippine village mistakenly thought a tidal wave was coming and ran to higher ground where they were buried alive by the boulder-laden deluge.
At least 20 bodies, including those of children, have been dug out by rescuers.
