Former prime minister John Howard and former treasurer Peter Costello have discussed the future of Australia’s economy.
Mr Howard said believes that both major parties have failed to deliver robust fiscal policy since his time in government.
Mr Costello cited the importance of reducing debt and deficits, saying successive treasurers had missed opportunities for major economic reform.
