Jennifer Lopez Chopped Her Hair Off For An ‘Old Hollywood Glamour’ Look And Fans Are Going Crazy – SheFinds

Jennifer Lopez, 53, really embraced the “new year, new me” mantra. The “Jenny from the Block” singer recently cut off her signature long locks for a new cropped ‘do to ring in the new year. Fans couldn’t help but note that this cut was really delivering a throwback to Jennifer’s hair at the beginning of her career.
Unlike her signature 90s locks, she’s ditched the curved ends and opted for a more mature look–which is giving us some serious Old Hollywood vibes. JLo’s new shorter “lob,” or long bob, haircut debuted on her stylist’s Instagram on Dec. 20. We love it!

Not only do we love the retro waves (seriously, she looks like a star from a 1950s Hollywood film!) but her hair looks so shiny and thick. Jennifer showed off her new cut with a gorgeous layered floor-length red tulle gown and sparkly diamond earrings. The look, paired with a red lip, is really screaming Christmas to us and it is definitely setting the bar high for all our future festive activities.
And fans adored J-Lo’s new look. Commenting on the post, one fan noted: “Beautiful and Stunning” while another commented, “Props to her! Much more flattering to her pretty face. Long hair is overrated. Why take away from seeing features meant to be seen?!” Another simply said, “Old Hollywood glamour making a comeback! Yes, girl!! It looks gorgeous!!” with three hand-clapping emojis. And, a fourth commenter mentioned, “This is giving me Rita Moreno vibezzzz” with a heart emoji. How sweet!

The actress, singer, and dancer (what can’t she do!) isn’t the only celeb that went into 2023 with a new hairstyle. Bella Hadid followed suit and changed up her hair to a sweet honey blonde for the new year. Clearly, even celebs jump on the “new year, new me” bandwagon.
While J-Lo’s hair is definitely shorter, it seems she went back to her extensions for New Year’s look. She posted a video showing off her plunging duo-tone dress, a pair of 2023-themed eyeglasses, and disheveled hair from different angles, including a full-length view. While she can somehow make bedhead look glam, we love her new haircut and hope to see more of it in the future. While we’re not exactly sure what occasion the new look is for, we’re sure it has something to do with Jennifer’s new album.

In addition to this gorgeous new haircut, Jennifer Lopez also recently stunned fans by announcing her upcoming album This Is Me…Now, a follow-up to her 2002 hit This Is Me…Then—dedicated to her husband Ben Affleck. J-Lo’s ninth album is set to be released in 2023.
The new album was written and produced from May to August 2022, amidst Lopez’s reunion and marriage with Ben. Lopez confirmed that the reunion inspired her to get back into the studio and write honest music, in ways that she had not done since This Is Me… Then. She even wrote a sequel to her beloved song “Dear Ben” titled “Dear Ben pt. II.” Awwww!
The 53-year-old star took to Instagram on November 25 to share the big news. Captioned with her tracklist, she posted a video copying her older album cover and then showed off her incredibly toned abs and ageless looks in a white corset top and low-rise leather skirt. Jennifer wowed her 227 million followers with the news and her fans were blown away by the news. One commented: “Let the magic begin” with three star emojis and another pointed out, “Dear Ben pt ll The sweetest title ever written!!!!! Forever an inspiration! WOW” with heart-eye emojis. We’re in love with J-Lo’s new haircut and so excited for here for her new album!
