The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sacked Basit Ali over a phone call just moments ago, the former Test cricketer shared on his twitter account.
In a video posted today, Basit claimed that he was dismissed from his coaching role in PCB over a phone call.
“I was informed over a phone call that I am no longer a part of PCB,” the cricketer said in a shared video.
“Hence, I am starting my YouTube channel where I will be analysing Pakistan team’s performance. Earlier, I got a lot of calls and messages to start a YouTube channel but I couldn’t do it due to my contract with PCB. But, now I will be speaking about cricket on my own channel,” he added.
Basit will be uploading his first YouTube video tomorrow while analysing Pakistan team’s performance in home Test series against England and New Zealand.
The former cricketer asked his fans to pray for his new journey.
Basit worked as a coach at different levels in previous two PCB set-ups led by Ehsan Mani and Ramiz Raja.
