Tri-nation T20 Tournament | Match 8: Uganda vs Rwanda
Cricket Cranes remained on top of the table after picking up their 7th win at the Tri-Nation T20 Tournament against hosts Rwanda.
The Cricket Cranes have now won 7 out of their 9 games with a loss to Tanzania and a no result to give them a total collection of 15 points in the 3-nation tournament.
The match was a routine win for the Cricket Cranes who won the toss and elected to bowl first. On a turning wicket, Frank Nsubuga (2/9) and Henry Ssenyondo (2/11) put the brakes but it was Man of Match Bilal Hassun (3/9) who ripped the rewards with a mean spell to skittle Rwanda out for 67.
In response, both openers Simon Ssesazi and Ronald Lutaaya went back in the hut early but Kenneth Waiswa (30) made sure of the result despite him falling with only 5 runs required for the win.
The team will take a break tomorrow and will be in action on Thursday afternoon against Tanzania, if they are able to win they will have sealed the Tri-Nation series title.
