Team India, after getting knocked out from Asia Cup 2022 by Sri Lanka.
A 2-0 Test series victory against Bangladesh made sure that team India did finish the year on a high, after what has overall been a rather ordinary year in the White-Ball format for them in terms of results.
With the ODI World Cup triumph as the next objective, they will commence the year with a three-match T20I series, followed by as many ODIs at home against Sri Lanka.
It is worth of a mention that the last time these two sides faced each other, the Sri Lankans had crashed India out of the Asia Cup 2022 tournament with a six-wicket victory, and ultimately went on to win the championship as well.

The last time these two Asian neighbors faced each other in a bilateral series was in February 2022, when the Indian team had clean swept the home T20I series 3-0.
