Sky News host Paul Murray has predicted that the date of Australia’s national day will be changed in 2026.
“Why will it be in 2026? Well, that would be the second year of potentially the second term of the Albanese government,” Mr Murray said.
“And judging by what they’ve said in the past, the republic will be put off until the second term.”
