David Gower expects the Ashes to be won by Ben Stokes and company. He wants England to carry on playing their unafraid style of cricket worldwide.
But the former England skipper cautioned that the Australians will have a formidable challenge thanks to their potent bowling lineup.

The declaration was made as Stokes led England to nine victories in the previous 11 Test matches. In recent days, England defeated Pakistan 3-0. They also defeated New Zealand 3-0 at home and defeated South Africa 2-1 in the Test series.
In an interview with Gulf News, David Gower stated: “The main test to Bazball is against the Australians, the potential that we could achieve it or not comes up in the next few months. It’s going to be exciting. Australia has a very strong bowling attack, as well as interesting hitters and a good approach to the game.”

“England will start feeling confident about the prospects, that’s the whole culture. They are afraid of losing again because they believe they will continue to win elsewhere” David Gower Added.
As per David Gower, Ben Stokes’ achievements in England cricket have surpassed those of Ian Botham. The former England captain cited his match-winning innings in Headingley to tie the Test series against Australia and his World Cup victory in the 2019 final.
“Ben is an extraordinary player, I can’t put it any higher. I suppose Ben has outperformed Botham in certain ways. The 81-run innings in Headingley in 2019 were incredible. He went from stonewall defense to full offense; it was a one-time occurrence, but it was magnificent. The World Cup final at Lord’s was then decided by Stokes’ innings” David Gower Added.
In 2015, England took home the last Ashes victory (3-2). In 2019, they drew the series 2-2. On the other hand, in 2021/22, Australia defeated England 4-0 in their own backyard. Additionally, in 2017–18 and 2013–14, they triumphed 4-0 and 5-0 at home.
